Print RecipeIngredients
- 2 8-ounce packages of cream cheese
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- 1-ounce package ranch seasoning
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried minced onion
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1¼ cups cheddar cheese, finely grated
- ½ cup pepper jack cheese, finely grated
- 8 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
- Box of favorite crackers
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions
In large mixing bowl, add cream cheese, sour cream, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, minced onion, salt and pepper. Stir until well combined. Add 1 cup cheddar cheese, ½ cup pepper jack cheese and half of crumbled bacon. Stir until mixed. Lay out large sheet of plastic wrap and drop cream cheese mixture onto it. Cover tightly on all side and shape into a ball. Refrigerate for 5 hours or overnight, until firm.
OUTER COATING
Add remaining ¼ cup of cheddar cheese and remaining bacon. Refrigerate and put next to cheese ball. When cheese ball is firm, line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and spread outer coating evenly. Remove plastic from cheese ball. Roll in bacon and cheese outer coating, making sure all sides are coated. Serve immediately or cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve with crackers.
